NH
Heat Transfer Compound, Non-Hardening
NH nonhardening heat transfer compound is used where
thermal expansion and contraction could break the bond of
a hardened compound. Thermon’s heat transfer compounds
provide an efficient thermal connection between the external
heating source and the process equipment. Thermon’s NH
compound typically improves the overall heat transfer
coefficient by a minimum factor of three. By eliminating the
air voids that would ordinarily exist, heat is directed into the
surface area primarily through conduction rather than
convection and radiation.
Typically installed between plate-type heating coils or with
systems that require periodic disassembly, NH remains
pliable indefinitely, allowing the compound to expand and
contract to meet the changing requirements for the application.
Maximum Maintenance Temperature: 375°F
